On Sunday started Steffi’s second nail art challenge (on Instagram and her blog “Frischlackiert”) and I have to say that she did a great job picking the themes for this month. For quite a few of them I already have designs in my head. Designs that are on my To-Do list for a while now! But never the less the first theme “Vintage” was not as easy as I first thought it would be. At first I actually had a totally different design planned (a free hand design – of course that had to go wrong!), but didn’t even take pictures of my nail fail because I hated it so much and took it off immediately.
When I went through my stamping plates I rediscovered an image (ring finger) from the MoYou plate “Pro 04“, that was one of the reasons I bought this plate for, but never used. To match the dots in that image I used plate “Pro 10” for my other nails.
After I had decided on that, finding colors wasn’t that hard any more. For me Vintage is usually something beige, rusty-red, bronze looking. So I chose: Sally Hansen “Himalaya” (background), Essie “Angora Cardi” & Claire’s “Rose Gold” (stamping).
Well I hope you like these vintage nails and stay tuned for the other themes.
